　　個人名言： Never underestimate yourself 永遠(yuǎn)不要低估自己

　　大多數(shù)人其實(shí)比他們想象中的厲害，但問題是隨著人們的長大，就對自己越發(fā)懷疑。大多數(shù)人想要克服這種懷疑，但當(dāng)他們面臨挑戰(zhàn)的是否卻因?yàn)榭謶侄磺?。很多人想打敗恐懼，但他們總是低估自己增?qiáng)內(nèi)心世界的能力。加油吧！朋友們！如果你們想在你們的所有科目中得到A* 或者A 的好成績，那就閱讀，思考，并且矢志不渝的跟隨我所說的（永遠(yuǎn)不要低估自己)去做，因?yàn)槲掖_信，這樣，你們的未來會有重大的突破提高！

Dear readers, in this article, you can see the inner words of a student who once failed in the Chinese college entrance examination but succeed in the International foundation year, and in order to help more students to be successful, I want to demonstrate the personal thinking cultivated during this year, which is definitely advantageous for our study in following paragraphs.

　　親愛的讀者，在這篇文章里，你能感受到一個學(xué)生（我）的心聲，他高考失利，但是預(yù)科卻取得了有益的成績。為了幫助更多的人取得成功，我決定分享下這一年里所培養(yǎng)的個人思維方式。

To begin with, the motto of my dream school, which is “To discover and understand the causes of things” is and always has been the motivation which has driven me in my learning and has been a contributing factor in achieving academic success. More specifically, I strongly consider that it is a requisite to learn from a critical and original perspective, or otherwise, the acquired knowledge is superficial. Let me illustrate what I mean by this by giving you an example. While conducting experiments for Physics, I have paid attention to certain aspects that my peers deemed unworthy of their time, such as analyzing the errors during these experiments and offering suggestions to reduce experiment limitations. Consequently, our tutor highly praised me because I was the only one who acquired full mark in the report named “simple harmonic motion”. Moreover, the report was used as a model and I attribute this honor to the custom of critical thinking, which many people lack.

　　首先，我的理想學(xué)校的校訓(xùn)“發(fā)現(xiàn)并理解事物的本因”一直以來鞭策著我，并且是使我取得成功的一大因素。更具體的說，我很認(rèn)可從個人批判的角度看問題，不然的話，所學(xué)的知識是賦予表面的。有個例子是，當(dāng)做物理實(shí)驗(yàn)的時候，我花注意力放在一些常被同學(xué)認(rèn)為無用的地方，比如分析并提出減少實(shí)驗(yàn)誤差的方法。因此，我的簡諧運(yùn)動的論文得到了滿分，并且我的導(dǎo)師高度贊揚(yáng)我，而這篇論文更是被老師看做一個模板，我把它歸因?yàn)槲业霓q證思考習(xí)慣，然而很多人卻缺失這個。

In addition, bravery and courage have also been applied to my study. Personally, these two words have a strong nexus with each other, where the former expresses the bravery to discover the original weakness, and the latter expresses the courage to take concrete actions to break the thinking durance. A telling example of my bravery and courage can be seen in my presentation assessment where I achieved a grade that I had never achieved before. Before the presentation, pronunciation part was my weakest part which impeded me from achieving an A in speaking exams. To remedy this weakness I sought several avenues such as asking tutors and classmates for help, comparing my recorded voice with the voice of native speakers, and carefully observing the differences of mouth movements between Chinese and native speakers when speaking English. Although the time was limited, I still conducted an incredible and bold decision, namely, to relearn the phonetic symbols. Ultimately, hard work paid off, and I achieved a grade as the highest score in the whole school. This valuable spirit has been employed in all the courses I study, and I got 3A*’s in professional classes and an A in EAP. This serves to illustrate the importance of bravery and courage, which have been applied in my academic endeavors.

　　此外，勇氣與膽量也在我的學(xué)習(xí)中被運(yùn)用到。 我個人認(rèn)為，前者代表了發(fā)現(xiàn)問題根源的勇氣，而后者代表了采取行動打破思維困境的膽量，這兩者密不可分。我曾把這品質(zhì)用于我此前的演講考試，那次，我得到了前所未有的成績。然而在演講前，我的糟糕發(fā)音使我在考試中口語拿不到A，為了彌補(bǔ)這個缺陷，我采用了多種方法，包括向?qū)熗瑢W(xué)尋求幫助，把自己聲音錄下來與說英語國家的人比較，以及仔細(xì)觀察中國人和外國人說英語事的口型間差異。盡管時間有限，我還是采取了讓人覺得不可思議的舉動！那就是，重學(xué)音標(biāo)。后來，功夫不負(fù)有心人，我得到了全校最高分。而這樣的勇氣與膽量被用到了我學(xué)的其他科目中，我也因此獲得了專業(yè)課全A*, EAP 等第A 的好成績。 我想，以上這些足以證明我所說的學(xué)習(xí)中運(yùn)用勇氣和膽量的重要性了吧。

To recapitulate, I would like to utilize and express my motto that we should never underestimate ourselves. Personally, I could never believe getting all “A”s in the four aspects of the EAP study (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) before I started learning this program. However, after cultivating all the mentioned thoughts in previous paragraphs encouraged via all my tutors, I get an incredible results and go to my dream school eventually. More precisely, every time when I communicated several strange or even crazy original thinking with my tutors, they invariably encouraged me to go on thinking and researching, which specifically strengthen my confidence to make myself perfect. Consequently, I really appreciate the tutors in the Kaplan Suzhou center, as they render me believe that “Everything is possible!”.

　　作為總結(jié)，我想用我的個人名言“永遠(yuǎn)不要低估自己”作為收尾。 要是換在進(jìn)入預(yù)科的一年多前，我絕不可能相信，我的英語聽說讀寫都會得到A等級。然而，經(jīng)過上述思維模式的熏陶以及老師的鼓勵，我收獲了無比的成效，并最終步入了理想學(xué)校。我發(fā)自內(nèi)心的感謝老師的鼓勵，因?yàn)槊慨?dāng)和他們交流我一些奇怪甚至瘋狂的想法時，他們總是鼓勵我想下去，并做調(diào)查研究，這尤為增加了我完善自己的自信。最后，我十分感謝楷博蘇州中心的所有老師，因?yàn)樗麄冏屛蚁嘈?，一切皆有可能?/p>
